POEM: Good Governance Is Attitude, Not Certificate

Image
By Ibrahim Kegbegbe If you were not after me when crawling  I wouldn't have thought of walking  I may not understand your talking drum  But not everyone thinks I am deaf and dumb   If truly destiny depends on the certificate  Why have I been admitted with the three letters, itk  What your name can't, I can with NIJ  If you doubt, you can ask Alinko Dangote No one has ever stopped me at the gate  Maybe what is in me is beyond Bill Gate's  I have never claimed the number one  But I have equipped boys in ND one  As a student of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism  I deal with conflicts with intellectualism

FAITH: Why These Killings In Southern Kaduna!

Image
By Ibrahim Kegbegbe  I need someone that has a highly philosophical and logical thinking mind to tell me what the picture below portrays! No one can interpret the picture than to say it portrays LOVE. A Christian has grown up and found himself or herself in a Christian family so be a Muslim brother or sister. So, why is this compulsion of trying to make someone to practice your belief! There should be no compulsion in religion!  However, sometimes the killings or other ungodly practices in society may not be religiously motivated, rather it may be individual acts.  So, if killings are traced to the idiosyncratic character of an individual, it means he or she has not understood the religion he or she practices because no religion in the world encourages violence let alone killings.  Additionally, if all religions propagate LOVE, it means all the violators of peace should be taken to a psychiatric hospital or should be taken to the righteous clergymen in our religious ...

OPINION: Until We Study Its Message, COVID-19 Will Persist Forever

Image
By Ibrahim Kegbegbe  It is true that death is inevitable for everyone. Either you are rich or poor, death must visit you one day. But the poor are liable to die before their destined time if they don't have access to good medical checkups; lack of nutritional food and serene environment for living. The rich within their capacity have what the poor lack,  through which they could be rewarded with an extra life if possible! We all know that money can easily reverse inequality in living standards. It is the only death that money can't reverse. So, the situational comparison between the rich and the poor is not discrimination but rather a discrepancy.  However, the ironic situation within the human race has turned around to a dramatic irony as a result of the worldwide challenge. Do we want to say the poor and the rich are socially equal! If we can't say so, I think someone will agree with me that we are naturally equal. The pandemic outbreak of the coronavirus which antidote...
