Wish Me Well Wherever You Are, Oniru Tells Well Wishers

Oniru of Iruland, Oba Abdul Wasiu Lawal, has told friends and relatives and other well wishers to celebrate his birthday anniversary through virtual means.

The Oba who clocks 50 today, Friday 24th July 2020, sent a message to friends and Associates yesterday through the secretary of the royal family, Hakeem Akintoye, that in regarding the rules and regulations made by the governments against social gathering at this period of COVID-19, he would be well appreciated if they could celebrate him through the social media and phone calls.

"How would it have been to celebrate my 50-year-old birthday elaborately in few weeks after my coronation as Oba of Iruland, but the coronavirus has not allowed that," he said, "however, glory be to Almighty Allah for his mercy over me, my family, relatives, and friends."

  Lagos based popular musician, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has visited Akima Hotel in the Oshodi neighborhood of Lagos.
